    Community is central to nearly everything we do at Malt. Our community in France includes more than 300K freelancers with diverse expertise and backgrounds : tech, project managers, support functions, product designers, marketing consultants, and much more. 

    The mission of the Freelance Community team is to attract, activate, and engage high value freelancers and provide them a best-in-class freelancer experience. 

    As the Senior Freelance Manager Rhône-Alpes, you will manage a team of Community Builders and Recruitment Consultants and work closely with our local sales team in Lyon, as well as with the community team at headquarters and other French regions.

    Key responsibilities ✨

  • Management - 20 %
  • Ensure the performance of the community and sourcing/recruitment team: monitoring the business, identifying areas of improvements, implementing best practices, managing and training the team.
  • Community Building - 50 %
  • Build and execute strategies to attract and engage freelancers with the most sought-after skills in the Rhône-Alpes region : Lyon, Clermont Ferrand, Saint Etienne, Grenoble 
  • Define and implement strategies for influencers and partnerships to support our growth, leveraging our partners users base / followers
  • Host community-centric in-person events (AfterMalts, Meetups…)
  • Recruitment - 30 %
  • Hunt and proactively search for top freelance talent on other channels
  • Conduct onboarding calls to help top freelance talents get started and find projects
  • Collaborate closely with the local sales team and proactively build solid relationships with clients as a trusted partner
  • About you 🧑‍🚀

  • 5 years experience in sales, recruitment, community building and/or growth hacking
  • Experiences in marketplace or startup/scale-up hyper-growth environments in a plus
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously while managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven track record on managing a team
  • Natural networker and relationship builder 
  • Data-driven and results oriented, with a bias towards action
  • Fully fluent in French and comfortable working in English in an international environment
  • Based in Lyon and available to travel regularly to Paris (1-3 days per month)

  • Final interview with Perrine Ferrault, our Chief Community Officer, to discuss Malt's long term vision
