We’re looking for a senior analytics manager to join our growing team (20+).

Key responsibilities ✨

  • Lead a team of data analyst, data scientists and machine learning engineers to develop a deep understanding of our marketplace, our freelancers and clients, and improve how how we match them on the platform
  • Build new data products and drive iterations on our algorithms to improve the experience for two sides of the marketplace
  • Partner with product, marketing and business leaders across Malt to inform the roadmap and strategy 
  • Hire and grow best-in-class talents and cultivate diversity in the team
  • Advance the data science discipline at Malt, including driving data best practices such as improving and automating analytical processes, building new data tools and data sets, data education around the company and mentoring and developing others.

    • About you 🧑‍🚀

  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience and a degree (Masters or PhD is a plus) in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research).
  • Track record in leading and growing a team (2+ years of management)
  • Experience working with tech and product. 
  • Experience partnering with internal teams to drive action, building product features and providing expertise and direction on analytics, data science, experimental design, and measurement
  • Expertise in machine learning and advanced statistics.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and python or R
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive and cooperative attitude that fosters collaboration and teamwork both inside and outside the department
  • Ability to make thoughtful decisions in real time to provide support and solve problems as they arise
  • Organized, seasoned and strategic multitasker, with a hands-on approach to solving problems and accomplishing tasks in short turnarounds as needed
  • Comfortable in navigating and excelling in fast paced environments with no playbook for success, and able to simplify
  • Experiences in marketplaces, NLP and deep-learning are a plus.
