It all began in 2016 with Luko, a French insurtech created to revolutionize home insurance. With an innovative user experience and cutting-edge digital services, Luko quickly stood out in the market by meeting the expectations of modern policyholders.

In February 2024, a new chapter began with Luko's acquisition by Allianz Direct. Launched in 2023 in France, Allianz Direct is Allianz Group's 100% online platform, already present since 2019 in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain. This strategic merger combines Luko's agility and innovation with Allianz Group's strength and expertise.

At Allianz Direct, our goal is to provide reliable, responsive services with the best value for money for our customers' everyday insurance needs.

We face two main challenges:

1. Redefining the insurance experience: We aim to make insurance more accessible and less burdensome by offering competitive rates and a smooth, connected user experience.

2. Convincing more policyholders: While we are the digital insurance leader in Europe, in France, we still have everything to build in order to establish ourselves as the benchmark in digital insurance.
