As our Talent Acquisition Manager, you will be instrumental in our growth, helping us build an outstanding team. Your mission will be to attract, find, and hire top talent while maintaining our high standards of quality and talent density. You will manage and own the hiring process from start to finish, reporting directly to the VP People.
Responsibilities:
Strategic recruitment & talent attraction:
Innovate and implement recruitment strategies to attract top-tier talent.
Utilize diverse sourcing techniques to proactively identify and engage potential candidates.
Streamline recruitment processes using Ashby, our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring efficiency and compliance.
Foster relationships with recruitment agencies, universities, associations, and job boards to expand our talent pool.
Candidate engagement & experience:
Create a dynamic and engaging hiring process, promoting the Joko culture and values for the best candidate experience.
Create and sustain a system for tracking and measuring candidate feedback to enhance the recruitment journey and candidate experience.
Internal relationship building:
Partner with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs. Co-create effective job descriptions and scorecards.
Work closely with the Marketing team to align employer branding with our brand strategy, highlighting the unique aspects of working at Joko.
Develop and sustain feedback loops with hiring managers to continually improve and optimize hiring processes.
Train our team members on hiring best practices.
Process optimization:
Develop robust evaluation tools such as scorecards and interview grids.
Standardize training programs for hiring managers to ensure a consistent and high-quality interview process.
Collaborate with the People Operations Manager and HRBP on salary benchmarking and onboarding strategies, ensuring a competitive edge in talent attraction and seamless integration of new hires.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience, mainly in Talent Acquisition, ideally in a fast-growing and/or tech environment.
Processes: you have built robust processes and participated in dynamic hiring efforts.
Data mindset: Strong data-driven approach with expertise in interpreting and utilizing key hiring metrics.
Business Partner: You know how to position yourself as a Business Partner, to accompany and train Hiring Managers.
Languages: Fluency in English and in French, both written and spoken, due to our international team dynamic.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts and convey enthusiasm.
Interpersonal skills: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships, demonstrating meaningful and regular engagement.
Mindset: Passion for people-related topics, dedication to team growth, and an entrepreneurial spirit that thrives on challenges.
Organization: Highly structured and valuing rigor in task management and execution.
Attention to detail: Acute attention to detail, with a knack for identifying and rectifying issues promptly.

Intro call: Quick screening with the Hiring Manager or a recruiter.
Step 1 – Team interview (45 min): Conversation with two Joko team members (could include the Hiring Manager, people from the team you’d join, or colleagues from other teams).
Step 2 – Role-specific assessments
For non-tech roles: Take-home case study followed by a 45 min debrief. We assess both your output and how you think in real time. The exercise will be relevant to the role (e.g. analysis, strategy, or process design).
For tech roles: Live technical interviews:
Coding interview + System design interview
For research internships, an additional round may involve analyzing and presenting a research paper
Step 3 – Founders interview (45 min): Conversation with two of our founders.
