The position

Job description

Reporting to the Director of Customer Success, the Sales Engineer will play a key role at TrustBuilder:

1. Technical Expertise & Product Mastery

  • Present, explain, and demonstrate TrustBuilder products and services to prospects, customers, and partners.

  • Configure product setups and conduct technical demonstrations tailored to each use case.

  • Continuously evaluate and train yourself on new product releases, features, and updates.

  • collaborate with the Product and R&D teams by providing structured field feedback and proposing improvements or innovations.

2. Pre-Sales Support & Deal Enablement

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor, helping clients align TrustBuilder solutions with their strategic and operational goals.

  • Support the Sales team during the entire sales cycle, from discovery to closing, with a proactive approach to deal progression.

  • Contribute to strategic account planning with the Sales team.

  • Prepare and draft high-quality responses to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires.

3. Customer & Partner Enablement

  • Actively support customers and partners during evaluations, POCs, and testing phases.

  • Provide technical enablement to partners (training sessions, onboarding materials, joint evaluations).

  • Ensure smooth handover to Professional Services and CSM teams with clear documentation.

4. Support & Internal Collaboration

  • Provide technico-commercial support when required, ensuring alignment between customer needs and TrustBuilder’s roadmap.

  • Work closely with CSM, PS and Product teams to ensure consistent messaging and shared understanding of product capabilities and customer expectations.

  • Promote TrustBuilder’s product and technical strategy internally and externally.

  • Help team to write technical documentation by simplifing complex technical concepts for diverse audiences (technical, non-technical, business decision-makers).


Preferred experience

Hard Skills:

  • 4+ years of SE experience in B2B SaaS or Networking/Security solutions, preferably identity and authentication solutions

  • Experience with standard authentication/authorization protocols (SAML, OAuth2, OIDC, Radius, LDAP)

  • Ability to script, develop simple web or mobile apps, and use APIs

  • Technical knowledge of corporate IT ecosystems (VPN, Microsoft 365, Cloud services, SSO, Microsoft architectures)

  • Technical experience in managing IT systems (plus)

  • Ability to conduct technical demonstrations and product configurations

  • Experience writing technical documentation and RFP responses

  • Familiarity with industry standards and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.)

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and French (Italian or Spanish is a plus)

  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences

  • Team player, able to collaborate cross-functionally (Sales, Product, R&D, Marketing)
