Hollis & Bean is looking for freelance writers and sub-editors to verify text for its B2B clientele across a variety of different industries.

Freelance copycheck writers are hired to carry out copycheck work for one or more clients on a regular basis. Work involves verifying short texts to identify English-language errors and discrepancies with the client’s house style and providing alternative text, with a turnaround time of 2-4 hours depending on length. Texts provided for copycheck typically include articles, newsletters, and web pages.

The freelancer is given materials or training on client house style at the beginning of the collaboration

Desired skills and experience

• Excellent English native-language writing skills

• Perfect grammar, punctuation and spelling

• Ability to work to a strict deadline

• Experience writing and/or researching for B2B companies, marketing/communications agencies is a plus
