Hollis & Bean is looking for freelance writers to produce content for its B2B clientele across a variety of different industries.

Freelance writers are hired on a project basis. A project can be anything from a 500-word web article
to a 12-page white paper to the rewriting of a client’s entire website. Typical article topics involve renewable energy, construction, sustainability and finance.

In a brief to the freelancer, a Hollis & Bean project manager:
• Describes the content’s objectives
• Provides a full overall structure for a requested content piece, including summaries of what
needs to be said in each section, and specific word counts by section
• Defines the client’s tone of voice and editorial style

The freelancer is given source material documents with indications in the brief as to which content
should fall where within the structure of the piece.

Please note that we give priority to our pool of regular freelance writers for any permanent roles that
come available (usually around 2 positions per year).

Desired skills and experience
• Excellent English native-language writing skills
• Perfect grammar, punctuation and spelling
• Ability to write to a strict deadline
• Experience writing and/or researching for B2B companies, marketing/communications
agencies is a plus
