The position

Job description

We are looking for a "Tech lead" to join our Settlement team and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our new software systems. You will collaborate closely with colleague's cross borders to deliver reliable, efficient and critical financial solution.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background as experienced backend developer, extensive experience with Spring Boot, and a solid understanding of event-driven architecture. The candidate should have a robust understanding of delivering software products, such as applications, databases and data contracts.

Euronext Securities is in the forefront of the financial sector in Europe and as part of Euronext, we think and design our solutions with an international perspective. We do this together with our colleagues in Norway, Portugal, Italy and Denmark - and we need you to help us.

The position is based in Copenhagen, and we practice a "3 days a week in the office"- policy.

Key Responsibilities:

· Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.

· Develop RESTful APIs and integrate them using OpenAPI standards.

· Engage with event-driven architecture concepts, with exposure to Kafka beneficial.

· Conduct and improve unit testing processes.

· Use GIT effectively for version control and collaboration.

· Support the implementation of observability tools; familiarity with OpenTelemetry beneficial.

· Ability to mentor and guide developers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications:

· Solid understanding of software engineering principles including Clean Code, SOLID, and basic

· Domain Driven Design concepts.

· Experience developing and maintaining RESTful APIs with OpenAPI.

· Familiarity with event-driven architecture, with Kafka experience preferred but not essential.

· Proficiency with GIT and unit testing methodologies.

· Exposure to observability practices; knowledge of OpenTelemetry is advantageous.

· Java and Quarkus experience are a huge plus.

· Strong problem-solving skills and effective collaboration in a team environment.

· Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers.

· Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.

· Language: Fluent in English
