Job description
Main duties
Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager & Treasury Analyst, your responsibilities will be as follows, but not limited to:
Daily support in setting up payments, vendor profiles, payment approval matrices for foreign subsidiaries and branches, making sure payment batches are processed timely,
Daily monitoring of the bank balances of various entities, execution of inter-company and inter-subsidiary transfers as part of treasury function,
Being the key person in all queries related to the banking payments, including training of new users,
Processing supplier invoices, expense claims and payments for various (Amsterdam, Warsaw, Milan, Berlin, Madrid) offices of the company,
Preparing bank reconciliations,
Preparing and posting journal entries,
Monitoring the finance administration email inbox, including communication with suppliers,
Monitoring the flow of supplier invoices in the accounts payable management system and filing of bank templates,
Assisting in month-end closing and in internal/ external audits,
Assisting in opening new bank accounts and collection KYC documents,
Office management tasks (minimal),
Other ad-hoc activities as required
This is a full-time position based in Amsterdam

Skills
HBO/ Bachelor degree required with at least 2 years of experience within Finance and/or Accounting Department of an international company
Finance and/or Accounting qualifications
Flexible attitude, attention to detail
Pro-active, independent and quick learner, ability to determine priorities
Good computer skills (Microsoft Office with advanced experience in Excel usage)
Able to work with deadlines (especially during month-end closing)
Experience with ERP systems, problem solving skills
Experience of working in international environment and effective communication with colleagues located around the world
Travel: occasionally but very limited
Languages required
English (both verbal & written)
Dutch or French can be an advantage
Other qualifications/requirements
An interest for the field of education
A valid work permit
