Early 2018 — The Beginning: Inspired by the Emerald Coast

Emraude was founded in Dinard by Virgile Loisance, a young entrepreneur with a passion for problem-solving. Growing up on the Côte d’Emeraude — the Emerald Coast, named for the vivid color of its sea — Virgile observed early on that human potential can be developed through thoughtful, challenge-based experiences. This insight inspired him to apply the same principles to the business world, leading to the creation of Emraude: a new kind of corporate learning platform rooted in digital gamification, where immersive, game-based experiences enhance soft skills, improve knowledge retention, and make serious topics truly engaging.

Late 2018 — Growth: Expanding Gamification into the Corporate World

Building on early success, Emraude moved to Paris to be closer to its clients and accelerate its development. The agency expanded its expertise, designing game-based solutions to support training, recruitment, awareness, and corporate communication.

2019 — Launch of PrevUp

Emraude launched its first subsidiary, PrevUp, with a catalog of 15 serious games developed by instructional designers, safety experts, and game designers. PrevUp delivers prevention and awareness experiences across key topics including workplace safety, first aid, diversity and inclusion, disability, cybersecurity, and sustainability.

2020 — A New Digital and International Chapter

Recognizing the growing shift toward digital learning, Emraude accelerated the full digitalization of its game concepts and built an in-house team of developers.
The immediate success of these new digital experiences positioned Emraude as a leader in corporate gaming solutions in France. Building on this momentum, Emraude expanded internationally, delivering projects across the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, the United States, and Canada.

2021 — Pushing the Boundaries of Serious Gaming

Following its international expansion, Emraude deepened its commitment to innovation by developing entirely new formats beyond traditional serious games.
Designed to meet emerging business needs, these new experiences address communication, learning, awareness, and team cohesion — helping companies tackle the challenges of a rapidly evolving world.

2022 — Accelerating Global Expansion

After the success of several collaborations with leading Asian companies, Emraude officially expanded into the Asian market, reaching hundreds of thousands of players across the continent. A few months later, Emraude continued its growth by opening the Middle East market, further strengthening its international footprint.

  • Digital Efficiency: Optimize storage, use green data centers (PUE < 1.5), and keep game experiences under 50 MB.

  • Sustainability: Eliminate single-use plastics, recycle ink, batteries, bulbs, and maintain a 100% paper-free policy.

  • Green Procurement: Partner with suppliers who follow sustainable production methods.

  • Eco-Friendly Transportation: Encourage cycling, public transport, and carpooling.

Emeraude name was inspired by the color of the water in Dinard, its founder hometown, in Brittany.
