Job description
n a context of high growth and of a reinforced climate strategy, we are seeking a highly enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our Corporate CSR team. The future Global Carbon Officer will contribute to the implementation of GreenYellow climate transition plan, including:
Group accounting of greenhouse gas emissions (Scopes 1, 2 and 3)
Yearly carbon footprint evaluation and reporting on the full scope of the company
Implementing emissions reductions action plans throughout the company
Support the definition and reporting of climate performance (Climate transition plan including Net Zero targets)
Manage the CDP and other CSR rating submissions with the aim of obtaining Gold level
Contributing to the marketing of GreenYellow solutions for a low carbon world
The successful candidate will be part of the Corporate CSR team, reporting to the Group CSR & Transformation Director. The future Global Carbon Officer will work closely with all GreenYellow business units, relying on local relays (sustinability or environment managers), coordinating this network to successfully implement our climate transition plan and promote our low-carbon approach to the climate transition.
DETAILED TASKS :
Group Carbon Footprint consolidation
(Run and optimization)
Participate and carry out Carbon Footprint consolidation: scoping, data collection and analysis (across all GreenYellow business units)
Revise, adjust and refine our CO2 emissions evaluation methodologies
Contribute to the annual CSR report and other reporting process
Ensure strategic intelligence on best practices and trends on GhG emissions accounting
Climate transition plan
(V0 existing- to be optimized)
Update of existing Climate transition plan based on historicals and projected emissions
Compile and complete modeling tools for GreenYellow carbon trajectory
When relevant, launch SBTi validation process of carbon footprint trajectory
Update existing Climate transition action plan in coordination with the CSR team : lead and engage the global network for a successful implementation of climate action plan
Project and client related support
(Engagement skills)
Revise, adjust and refine our project-related carbon calculators (induced and avoided emissions) : provide methodological support to the local teams
Ensure integration with SalesForce to generate « instant » CO2 emissions reports
Work with the Corporate and the local Marketing teams to develop marketing materials supporting a low-carbon vision
Contribute in major tenders of the Group to highlight GreenYellow low-carbon approach
Work with the local sales teams to promote GreenYellow low-carbon approach
Preferred experience
PROFILE :
Master’s degree in environmental management, environmental science, environmental engineering, climate finance, sustainable development studies or other similar qualifications.
Minimum 7 years experience in a similar position in a listed company or in consultancy
Demonstrated ability to implement GhG accounting & climate action plan
Excellent knowledge and understanding of climate change, GhG accounting and reporting principles, mechanisms, methodologies and schemes (e.g. GHG Protocol, SBTi, etc.)
Strong experience of implementing carbon footprints of projects
Good awareness / appreciation of climate legislation
Technical skills
Large database manipulation to deliver relevant analyses and plans
Ability to manage/deliver multiple projects/tasks in parallel with different requirements and timelines
Excellent written and oral presentation skills, experience in marketing will be a plus

Top communication skills especially in a « trainer » mode

Language
Fluency in English is mandatory
Spanish or Portuguese will be very much appreciated
