The Team and Areas of Ownership

The Seamless Assets team is a part of the Studios Product Line. Our vision is to simplify asset creation, delivering beautiful, easy-to-use experiences that save time, boost quality, and provide data-driven insights for smarter decisions.

Our mission is to enable our customers to accelerate the process of preparing their assets for any channel, allowing them to automate the creation of assets for any audience and deliver them directly without middleware, leveraging the latest AI innovations to transform the assets for the most immersive product experience.

In this role, you will be crucial in developing capabilities that leverage automation and artificial intelligence to enhance the efficiency and intelligence of product information management within Akeneo, aligning directly with our team's core objectives.

The team has a strategic mission, like a startup within a startup, to discover new product lines at Akeneo. To achieve this, we are seeking highly experienced individuals who have successfully scaled systems, particularly those with experience working with high data volumes, enterprise SaaS software. Experience with visual AI models, video streaming, 3D or augmented reality, Digital Asset Management(DAM), Content Management (CMS), Content delivery networks (CDN) and e-commerce performance optimization would be a great bonus.

What You Will Deliver in the Role…

• Customer-Focused learnings: Your weekly goal is to learn from customers. This means building, but also researching, analyzing data, and direct interaction.

• Collaborative Prototyping: Partner with product designers to create prototypes, iterating fast for customers' insights.

• Continuous Improvement: Monitor performance and adoption, and adapt as customer needs evolve.

• Apply a micro-frontend strategy using React.js (w/TypeScript) and Redux with some decoupling, whilst still integrating with crucial legacy components within the core of our Product Information Management (PIM) system which is built with PHP 8+ using Symfony.

• Enrich frontend functionality and the UI with UX in mind to empower our customers to have the best possible experience and to enable them to configure and have customer views to cover their own specific needs.

• Extend our Cloud-based infrastructure, which is based on GCP, GKE / Kubernetes, PubSub, MySQL, Datadog, and ElasticSearch.

• Enhance workflows utilizing Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Hexagonal Architecture with CQRS on the backend.

• Work cross-functionally with a variety of stakeholders across multiple product lines.

What Will Set You Up for Success at Akeneo…

• Strong experience with React.js and TypeScript (including state management solutions such as Redux) for building scalable micro-frontend architectures alongside proficiency with PHP (Symfony) on the backend.

• Knowledge of UX/UI principles and practices to create intuitive, configurable, and customizable user interfaces.

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly GCP services including GKE/Kubernetes, PubSub, and database technologies like MySQL alongside observability and monitoring tools like Datadog and ElasticSearch.

• Strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Hexagonal Architecture, and CQRS patterns in backend development.

• A test-driven and self-testing mindset where you build quality into your code from the get-go.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to transfer knowledge across the function and upskill less experienced Engineers.

• Stellar communication skills and an ability to “read the room” and adjust your vocabulary to suit both technical and non-technical audiences.
