Product & Customer Excellence is the product line offering customer support, and in charge of maintaining and improving the flagship Product Information Management (PIM) product within Akeneo, that is used daily by thousands of users worldwide to manage their global product information from just one place!
As part of this product line, Customer Engineering & Quality is responsible for proactively leading improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing performance, usability, and scalability—helping users save time and overcome product limitations. They also provide ongoing maintenance and bug fixes, adhering to our Targeted Time to Resolution SLA.
In addition, the team operates platform maintenance operations, and plays a key role in advocating for quality across all development teams, driving best practices and fostering a culture of excellence.
Leading software improvement initiatives that help users in their daily life, by saving their time, improving performance, or pushing current limitations
Investigating technical issues customers are experiencing on Akeneo products (PIM, Shared Catalog, Supplier Data Manager, Activation), then implementing fixes on the software code and/or platform configuration
Operating platform maintenance and upgrades
A customer-centric mindset that prioritises user needs and business impact over technical perfection when tradeoffs are needed
A proactive mindset, supported by monitoring and alerting skills, and applying the Boy Scout rule
Curiosity, eagerness to learn new products, tech stacks, patterns, user needs
Demonstrable advanced-level proficiency across Full-Stack Engineering, including software development, deployment, monitoring, investigation. In particular, experience with PHP (Symfony), React.js, Datadog, GKE, Elastic Search, PubSub is a plus.
All of our Senior+ Engineers have a good understanding of DevOps principles, microservices, and Cloud-based architectures at scale and are comfortable with deployment and observability best practices - we have a “Build It, Own It” approach..
Providing mentorship and guidance to transfer knowledge across the function and upskilling less experienced Engineers. Together, we’re stronger.
Stellar communication skills and an ability to “read the room” and adjust your vocabulary to suit both technical and non-technical audiences
