About this role

Our Mobile department is composed of 10 engineers (6 iOS, 4 Android) working closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver high-impact features to millions of users around the world. As the team continues to grow, we are looking for an iOS Engineering Manager to support our iOS engineers and help scale our organization.

As iOS Engineering Manager, you will lead the iOS team and report directly to the Head of Mobile. Your mission: ensure operational excellence while driving long-term strategic improvements in both engineering practices and team structure.

You will play a key role in enabling the iOS team to deliver impactful features with high craft standards, foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement, and strengthen cross-functional collaboration. You will also help lay the foundations for a scalable and reliable architecture, empowering the team to move fast and safely.

Our approach to privacy

  • As part of your job, you will be working on tools that process personal data relating to Yubo users.

  • You will play a central role in promoting a data-informed engineering culture: defining and tracking quality metrics, improving delivery workflows, and embedding visibility tools that support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • You will lead technical and organizational initiatives to ensure the long-term scalability and reliability of our mobile stack, including managing technical debt, aligning on architecture with Tech Leads, and enforcing performance and maintainability standards across the board.
  • You will align the team with Yubo’s values and strategic direction, fostering a strong sense of purpose and shared ownership within the iOS team and across functions (Product, Design, Backend, QA...).
  • You will actively contribute to process improvement and team efficiency, using feedback and best practices to scale a high-performing engineering organization.
  • You will grow, retain and recruit top talent, ensuring each team member is supported through clear expectations, constructive feedback, and tailored career development.
  • Finally, you will take part in managing the full lifecycle of your team: from onboarding and ramp-up to internal mobility and performance coaching,  helping each team member thrive while we scale our mobile ambitions.
