We’re looking at expanding our team with a highly-skilled and motivated Freelancer to join our Support Operations.

About You

You’re a Support champion: you’ve been providing state-of-the-art customer support for at least 2 years, preferably in the mobile, gaming or social media industry.

You’re an extremely empathetic person: you know how to recognize feelings when reading an email, and you’re extremely skilled at making people feel good for having contacted you. Even when you explain truly basic processes, people never feel stupid talking to you.

You’re a thorough person giving extreme attention to details: you’re always making sure that you’re using the right punctuation, the right emoji and the right tone. You’re re-reading your messages because you want to make sure that you’re communicating the right emotion at the right time. You understand that Support is about writing, and you’re confident about your writing skills.

You’re a problem solver: You love to test things to find out what’s broken. You know how to connect the dots and you know when to ask more questions because deep within you, you know something bigger is hidden underneath the reported issue.

You strive for perfection: Yubo is welcoming every day hundreds of thousands of teenagers. You understand that Safety and Security are at the core of Yubo, and that Support and Safety are intertwined. As a Support Team member, you’ve got a responsibility to our community.

You’re a team player: you know that we’re always more efficient working as a team. You’re not afraid to ask for help, to help your fellow team members and to participate in the daily life of your company.

You’re an entrepreneur at heart: you’ve got a sharp analytical mind, you’re thinking beyond providing simple answers: you know when something should be changed at the product level, and you’re not afraid to challenge established processes. You work autonomously, without requiring micro-management.

You speak perfect English & French. Any other language would be an asset, especially Spanish or Portuguese.

What you’ll be entrusted with

  • Helping our users via email to ensure they’re benefiting from the best possible experience
  • Participating in improving our Product by sharing your feedback from the frontline
  • Helping us improve our Support processes by pro-actively reporting what’s happening at the user level and by challenging established processes

Preferred experience

Requirements

  • Fluent in English and French.
  • 2 or more years of experience in Customer Support.
  • Passionate about technology, apps, and social media.
  • This is a full-time remote freelance position.
