Younited offers financial services to individuals: amortizing personal loans up to €50k, extended payment solutions, budget coaching and term deposits.  It also provides Banking-as-a-Service technology solutions to businesses – banks, insurance companies, telecoms operators, e-merchants, tech companies, etc. – who want to offer their clients a 100%-digital, seamless, fast and transparent client experience thanks to its innovative, data-driven, technology platform.

Our hyper growth ambition led us to look for a new Product Owner for our Finance Product Team ;

This Team (or « YounIT ») makes sure to maximize the collection from customers that have unpaid payments thanks to innovative tools and solutions.

The quality of the collaboration between the Product Manager and the Product Owner is one of the keys to success: the Product Manager defines the strategic priorities of the product along with the KPIs to measure its success, whereas the Product Owner oversees the delivery of the products and the prioritization of the associated backlog.

You will drive the implementation of new high-value business products (with Partners as prestigious as Apple or Microsoft) with the aim of revolutionizing the financial world of tomorrow ; and drive the automation of Younited accounting and banking operations helping to scale and maintain our hyper growth objectives.

Talking about your future products, you will:

• Manage the financial flows lifecycle our credits

• Automatize our banking flows management

• Industrialize the Accounting closing, working together with our Data team to do so

Your responsibilities :

• Build a Long-Term vision on your Products together with the Product Manager, your Team, and your Stakeholders #TeamPlayer,

• Deliver constant added value to your Stakeholders, thanks to small achievements #FastIsBetter,

• Build and maintain your multi-product roadmap in collaboration with the Product Manager:

  - Analyse and specify the requirements for the team in an international environment and guarantee a coherence between the products

  - Identify dependencies and impacts

  - Estimate the effort with the rest of the team

  - Breakdown and plan their development depending on team development capacity,

  - Update the roadmap

• Work in close collaboration with all the YounITs #Communication,

• Drive the implementation of changes (leading the team, following up the tasks left to be done, reporting),

• Maintain the backlog :

  - The backlog should be prioritised in coherence with the business and technical objectives

  - The user stories should be detailed according to priority in the backlog

  - Create the user stories and acceptance criteria

• Drive the correction of production bugs,

• Actively and enthusiastically participate in our weekly Product Owner Community sessions,

• Identify and follow KPIs,

• Participate in Younited’s tech outreach through its blog, meetups and other conferences (https://medium.com/younited-tech-blog).

🫵 About your profile

• You have a master’s degree from an Engineering or Business School (specialised in Project Management) or a university equivalent,

• It has been at least 5 years since you have left the school benches behind you, but you have been flourishing in similar jobs since then (Product Owner, Application Manager, Project Manager in an agile working environment, etc),

• You are at ease in an international working environment and with working in English (presentations, discussing requirements, giving feedback on issues…),

• You have a significant experience in dealing with multiple project/change implementation in parallel as well as maintaining a production environment at the same time,

• You remain enthusiastic when people talk about API : it is almost all about the backend with Finance - we leave the front end to other teams,

• The words « Simplification » and « Prioritisation » are part of your vocabulary and allow you to create and maintain efficient good quality products,

• You have an iterative approach to product development,

• You like creating and imagining original solutions to complex problems,

• You are interested in the financial world,

• US is not just a big country,

🤝 About your manager

• His background ?Thomas started his career as a Sales Trader on equity derivatives in Milan. He then moved on as Business Analyst, then Project Manager on trading applications at Société Générale. He then discovered the Corporate Finance part of Société Générale as Product Owner on an application dealing with the management of jumbo deals workflows for Sales. He is now Principal Product Owner at Younited on the Finance and Data domains. 

• His vision about the ways of working at Younited and the role? The most important thing for him is to facilitate the work of his collaborators by clarifying the context (vision, expectations, KPIs). With a maximum of autonomy, while remaining present when needed (for clarification or support #TeamPlayer). He also supports the Product Owners of these two domains on the vision and delivery of their Product. His goal is to push for the best possible interaction between Data and Finance.
