Yassir is the leading super App in the Maghreb region set to changing the way daily services are provided. It currently operates in 45 cities across Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia with recent expansions into France, Canada and Sub-Saharan Africa. It is backed (~$200M in funding) by VCs from Silicon Valley, Europe and other parts of the world.

We offer on-demand services such as ride-hailing and last-mile delivery. Building on this infrastructure, we are now introducing financial services to help our users pay, save and borrow digitally.

We are looking for a driven People Operations Specialist to join our fast-growing company. If you are a forward thinker who relates well to people and is driven to exceed expectations, we need you on our team!

About your role as People Operations Specialist

  • First point of contact for employees on people-related issues 
  • Responsibility for all administrative and operational tasks within the People Team, such as preparing employment contracts, writing reference letters and creating employer certificates
  • Owning the onboarding of new hires, including the coordination and tracking of onboarding assignments and training sessions
  • Ensure compliance with rules and regulations, including our data privacy and protection guidelines.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with all departments
  • Maintain the internal database for new and existing employees and keep a high standard of data accuracy
  • Manage and maintain Time & Attendance system.
  • Requirements and skills

  • Ideally successfully completed Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in human resources or other relevant degree
  • Relevant 2-3 years of work experience in a human resources department, ideally in a fast growing environment
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities while handling day to day tasks
  • A high level of attention to detail and great interpersonal skills with a can-do attitude 
  • Familiar with Google workspace  and hands-on experience with an HRIS
  • Strong communication skills with fluency in English and a very good level of German (C1)
  • Excellent knowledge of German labor law
  • A working visa or permit in the European Union
