The position

Job description

Why do we need you? 

The XAnge community is growing (with startups, mentors, talent, experts, partners) and we are organizing an increasing number of internal and external events throughout the year. 

 
Your main mission as a Community and Event Coordinator will be to work closely with our Startup Success and Communications team and be responsible for coordinating and planning both small- and large-scale events in France and abroad. You will contribute to the success of our event initiatives by ensuring effective execution aligned with the company’s standards and objectives. Your mission also includes ensuring a qualitative community experience, during their whole journey with XAnge, with a focus on participant satisfaction during all events.  

Our attendees are primarily CEOs and C-Levels from high-growth startups in various industries.


Preferred experience

Under the supervision of our Director of Operations and Brand & Communications Lead, your goals will be:

Community management:

  • Be a facilitator of the community of founders and executive teams: events management, talks between peers, newsletters…

  • Manage the communication channels accordingly (Slack, newsletter, …).

Event Planning and Coordination:

  • Assist in planning and coordinating events, including our participation in conferences, startup-centric owned events, and other event activations (meet-ups, networking cocktails, etc.)

  • Manage event logistics, including space or restaurant reservations, invitation management, travel coordination, suppliers and partner management, etc.

  • Collaborate internally to ensure effective coordination before, during, and after events.

  • Monitor budgets allocated to events.

Communication:

  • Collaborate with the Communications team to develop promotion and communication strategies for events.

  • Contribute to the creation of communication materials (invitations, programs, etc.).

Who we’re looking for ?

  • You have already worked in a community management or events management role either part-time or for an internship.

  • You are hands-on and not afraid of multi-tasking. You are known for not hesitating to go beyond your comfort zone and as an excellent project leader.

  • You are autonomous and a real team player.

  • You are passionate about Tech and Digital Startups, demonstrated by a strong knowledge of no-code tools (and you are always trying new ones). ChatGPT/Gemini is your best friend to boost your productivity.

  • You have strong written and oral communications skills.

  • You are fluent in English and French (all our written communications are in English, and part of our meetings). German is a plus.
