The Opportunity

The intern will be part of the M&A and Corporate Development team (9 professionals) and will participate in M&A deals and Corporate development strategic analyses.

This internship is a great opportunity to experience the buoyant payment sector, at the cross road of financial services and digital commerce. Worldline has a stated ambition by for external development with large M&A pipeline at the heart of its strategy. The trainee will enjoy exposure from end-to-end M&A process, from origination to closing.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities​

  • Participation in the identification future key markets and trends for Worldline and potential acquisitions in line with the overall strategic roadmap

  • Conduct competitive analysis by developing a perspective on key competitors’ relative strengths and weaknesses

  • Participation in the financial analysis and valuation of potential targets

  • Participation in the drafting of high-quality project deliverables including transaction summaries and approval documents for senior management

  • Participation in M&A processes: monitoring due diligence, liaising with various external advisors, preparing legal documentation in conjunction with lawyers, etc.

Preferred experience

Who Are We Looking For

We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change, step up and show what’s next – people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:

  • You’ve got substantial knowledge in financial analysis, modelling and business valuation

  • Ability to teamwork and initiative skills

  • Ability to adapt to the Group’s universe (proactivity, respect for confidentiality, numbers of interlocutors)

  • You have an excellent knowledge of Office tools (Excel and Powerpoint)

  • You master organization and ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously

  • You have a good spirit and sense of humor

  • You have a Bac+4/5 (Business School, University, etc.) with a specialization in corporate finance

  • You have a previous experience in investment banking (M&A), transaction services or private equity

  • You are fluent in French and in English (speaking and writing). Other languages will be an advantage (German, Spanish, or other)
