                  6-month full time internship as part of your business school training  

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Business Development Intern who will contribute to the key strategic initiatives underpinning WhiteLab’s core business and work directly with the Development team.
As an intern you will have the opportunity to work at a start-up at the cutting edge of AI research and biology and to be part of a fast-growing company where driven and creative problem solvers thrive.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Interacting with a wide range of functions internally and externally (biotech and pharmaceutical companies, top notch academics) to understand and deliver on WhiteLab’s strategic growth objectives
  • Researching and reporting on WHITELAB’s landscape to identify relevant competitors, partners, clients and external growth opportunities in the field of genomic therapies
  • Participating in business development and prospection activities for commercialization of WhiteLab’s
    capabilities, i.e., customer discovery, market research
  • Identifying and building relationships / leads with potential new partners or customers
  • Maintaining WhiteLab’s customer relationship management system with companies, contacts and deals,
    generating insights from our network and deal flows
  • Participating with senior execs and managers to overall deal life cycle from prospection to deal closing
    including negotiation
  • Preparing WhiteLab’s materials for internal decision meetings and external presentation in coordination with strategic marketing team.
  • Contributing to WhiteLab’s awareness on new growth opportunities (e.g. identification of relevant grants)
  • Assisting and participating to business events (pre-event set-up, scheduling, meeting preparation, post-event follow-up)

Preferred experience

Profile:

  • Master’s degree in Biology / (Bio)chemical Engineering / Pharm D or similar with a demonstrated interest / experience in business
    Or Master’s degree in Business (e.g. Economics, Finance, Innovation Management) similar with a demonstrated interest / experience in life science business
  • Ability and motivation for self-learning, ability to work independently in a dynamic working and scientific
    environment
  • Experience, expertise or demonstrated interest in drug discovery and development preferably in biotechnology (genomic therapies)
  • Experience, expertise or demonstrated interest in the business of biotechnology (e.g. financial modelling,
    intellectual property)
  • You know how to prioritize tasks, are organized, rigorous and with good analytical skills
  • You have strong written and oral communication skills
  • Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in French is an asset
  • Interest for data science (e.g. artificial intelligence) is an asset
