Now we’re looking for a Social Media & Press Manager in our Paris office to take our voice to the next level. You’ll be the guardian of our voice, the spark behind our social presence, and the architect of our media exposure!

🎯 The Role

This is not just about publishing posts and sending press releases… It’s about building a strong, unique brand narrative, creating scroll-stopping content, and putting WeWard on the map — culturally, digitally, and in the media.

A key goal is to create innovative content that captures media attention in France and reinforces WeWard’s positioning as an impact-driven brand.

You will lead and support our 2 Community Managers, Kim & Cameron, in creating viral content that strengthens our brand, while working closely with our US team to maximize cross-market synergies.

💥 What You’ll Do

📣 PR & Media: Own WeWard’s media narrative, build strong press relationships, secure high-impact coverage, and drive visibility across channels.

  • Pitch stories, handle media requests, & land killer coverage.

  • Create and publish meaningful content such as walking barometers, blog posts, newsletters and co-authored pieces with experts to reinforce WeWard’s impact-driven positioning.

  • Build partnerships with health and environmental experts.

  • Organize and cover press-worthy events.

  • Maintain the online press kit.

  • Monitor daily news to identify timely media opportunities.

📱 Social Media: Own and execute our multi-platform social strategy with our community managers.

  • Define objectives and long-term strategies for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X, while exploring new platforms.

  • Launch and manage cross-functional (product marketing, design, etc) campaigns across platforms.

  • Jump on trends (or start your own) to drive organic reach and engagement.

  • Design innovative, platform-specific content.

  • Manage day-to-day community interactions (likes, answering comments, etc).

  • Collaborate cross-functionally (product marketing, design, etc) on campaigns.

  • Track weekly and monthly performance metrics to fuel growth and strategic planning through data-driven analyses.

🧠 Strategic Vision & Leadership: Shape and evolve our comms strategy with a bold, cohesive brand voice, aligning PR and social efforts with business goals.

  • Lead and structure cross-market social workflows, define priorities, foster team growth, to ensure seamless collaboration and operational excellence for your 2 team members.

Your toolkit 🧰

  • Tools: Adobe Express, Photoshop, CapCut, Figma (bonus), Buffer/Hootsuite-type tools, Notion, Trello, Slack

  • Channels: Social media platforms, PR & press relations, events, podcasts

  • Design & Motion skills are a great bonus

  • Languages: English and French (professional fluency mandatory for both)


Preferred experience

🤩 What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in social media and PR, ideally in a fast-paced startup or app-centric environment

  • A solid grasp of what makes content shareable, clickable, and memorable

  • Experience owning media relations and working with journalists or agencies, securing media coverage

  • A love for analytics, because impact matters as much as creativity

  • Fluency and strong copywriting skills in French and English – our audience and your teammates speak both

  • Bonus: you’ve worked with B2C apps, in health, lifestyle or urban tech, you understand app user engagement

  • Strategic thinker who’s also ready to roll up their sleeves and execute

📝 Recruitment Timeline

  • 30-min intro chat with Kaënaath (Talent Acquisition) - Informal discussion to get to know each other, present the company and role, and review your background.

  • Interview with Marie-Sophie (Chief of Staff) and/or Lindsey (Communications Manager) – 30–45 minutes
    Focused on marketing experience, social/press expertise, and app awareness.

  • Practical use case – async creative/press exercise followed by a debrief & vibe check with Yves (CEO & co-founder), Marie-Sophie & Lindsey, that should last around 1 hour
