Urban Campus is looking for an HR Specialist to support the team and to act as the first point of contact to employees in France and Spain for all HR-related matters.
As an HR Specialist, you will work on a broad scope of work ranging from ensuring smooth daily operations to spearheading our approach to improve the overall team member experience, at an international level.
This is a position based in Paris which reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will collaborate closely with the Administration and Finance team.
You would be responsible for the following tasks:
Oversee the recruitment process, which includes sourcing, interviewing candidates, conducting reference checks, developing and maintaining relationships with employment agencies, universities, and other recruitment sources.
Deploy recruitment strategies to attract the right people at the right time.
Collaborate with the different managers to define the description of new job openings.
Distribute and follow-up applications on recruitment platforms.
Identify opportunities for professional growth of our team and implement training and coaching programs to support it.
Help each employee define and build their career path in the company.
Implement impactful training and development programs, employee recognition initiatives, and welfare/wellness programs.
Oversee compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
Define employee engagement programmes to enhance the overall employee experience and partner with managers and business partners to drive engagement.
Develop a strong internal feedback culture to retain talents.
Define and manage our employer brand with the executive committee.
Collaborate with our Marketing team to make Urban Campus a great employer brand.
### Compliance & Labour Law
Stay abreast of changes in Spanish and French labor laws and regulations, ensuring HR policies and practices remain compliant.
Provide guidance to management and employees on labor law-related matters.
Provide day-to-day HR support, address and resolve queries, employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances in order to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
Oversee administrative management of personnel (related to onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews) in collaboration with the Office Manager.
Manage individual and collective disciplinary procedures.
Enter and audit data in HR information systems for accuracy and compliance.
Serve as backup for payroll processing, including monthly updates, bonus/incentive pay, vacation/sick pay tracking, expense reimbursements, hourly employee validations, and benefit changes.
Contribute to the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of the employee handbook, directory, and organizational chart.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field
+4 years of experience as an HR Generalist / HR Specialist with a focus on recruitment and administration in a fast-paced environment
In-depth knowledge of Spanish and French labor laws and regulations would be a plus
Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems
Hands-on mentality, independent way of working, high reliability and ability to work in a team
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to work with confidential information
Team player, empathic, positive and enthusiastic
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for cross-cultural collaboration.
Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Fluent both in French and English (written and spoken), ability to facilitate meetings in both languages. An excellent command of Spanish will be an advantage.
