Your role:

As the referent Data Engineer at Trustpair, reporting to Cyrille, our VP Operations, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our top-quality Data Platform, to help our Data team bring valuable insights and empower the business in their decision-making.

Your next challenges & main missions:

Engineering architecture

• Be our hands-on, go-to Data engineer, responsible for the design, build and maintenance of various data stores, pipelines, ETL scripts, and search technology that drive user experience and move product and business data throughout the Trustpair stack
• Suggest and define strategies to continually improve the scale, performance, and capabilities of the Data Platform
• Ensure the company’s data is centralized into a single data lakehouse and modelled to support data analysis requirements from all business units

Delivery and engineering/analytics execution

• Work on a data and analytics roadmap with the VP Operations and Data Analysts to support our business, product and operations
• Collaborate with other Engineering functions; Product, Operations, and other departments to ensure their data needs are addressed
• Push our Data quality, security, and governance to the next level, and ensure data is accessed, processed, and stored per standards

Team empowerment and data vision

• Bring your experience to a talented and enthusiastic Data Team (1 Data PM +1 Data Engineer (you) + 2 Data Analysts), helping Trustpair progressively consolidate their data vision, from business & operations analytics to more advanced models (risk models, document OCR, Machine learning, etc…)

Must Have:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Ability to maintain and improve a whole Data Lake and/or Data Warehouse
• Ability to ingest new sources into our Lakehouse
• Professional experience with Python
• Relevant experience and good knowledge of Cloud environments
• Relevant experience and good knowledge in the following frameworks or equivalents: Spark, Airflow, Hadoop (HDFS, Hive …)
• Good understanding of SQL
• Fluent in English
• Problem solver
• Autonomous
• Willingness to work in a startup / fast paced environment

Nice to Have:

• Experience in an AWS environment with some of the following technology: EMR, Glue, S3, Athena
• Experience working with Terraform and Github CI
• Experience working with Apache Hudi or equivalent
• Software Engineering background
• Basic knowledge of dbt

• Technical test (should take around 2 hours of work on a 1 week timeframe) & test restitution
