Job description
TheraPanacea is an innovative startup that offers AI solutions for radiotherapy to help humanity in the fight against cancer.
We are looking for a research engineer to join our team and help our efforts to develop state-of-the-art dose calculation algorithms that are essential building blocks of a radiotherapy treatment planning system. To produce high fidelity results, dose calculation algorithms are required to properly model the configuration of the linear accelerator including its intrinsic parameters (energy spectrum etc). The position is responsible for the proper algorithmic modeling of the linear accelerators (or in medical terms, the commissioning of the linear accelerators) and the calculation of energy transport based on the linear accelerator model.
Preferred experience
A successful applicant has a background in (medical) physics and is a skilled computer scientist. He or she possesses the ability to understand and implement scientific papers, especially regarding the modeling of linear accelerators for dose calcuation, developing robust algorithms for estimating the model parameters and implementing energy transport algorithms.
Required qualifications:
- PhD or MSc/MEng in physics, computer science, or engineering.
- Proven track record of working on parametric modeling or simulation of physical phenomenas
- Proficient in python or C++
- Excellent analytical skills
- Motivation for excellence
- English at a conversational level (international team).
Additional qualifications:
- Experience in radiotherapy
- Experience with GPU programming and its usage for optimization algorithms
Recruitment process
Multiple interviews.
