Job description

Alice & Bob is developing the first universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer to solve the world’s hardest problems.

The quantum computer we envision building is based on a new kind of superconducting qubit: the Schrödinger cat qubit. In comparison to other superconducting platforms, cat qubits have the astonishing ability to implement quantum error correction autonomously!

We are at the forefront of the quantum race, competing with tech giants such as Google or IBM, and we are growing fast after securing  €100 million of funding in 2025 to develop our unique technology.

Currently 100+ and counting, between physicists, PhD students, engineers and experienced business professionals, we are united to reach our ambitious goal. Are you a quantum pioneer? Join us on a mission to reshape the future!

About the Role:

We are forming a new Quantum HPC team to connect technical expertise with customer needs. This role focuses on quantum applications (condensed matter, chemistry, cryptography) and our long-term FTQC vision.

You’ll help customers understand what can be done with our cat qubit technology, today and tomorrow. You’ll also contribute to internal use cases and help shape our messaging on fault tolerance, error correction, and real-world relevance.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with HPC centers and industry partners to map relevant use cases
  • Convey complex scientific ideas and the vision of Alice & Bob to technical and non-technical audience in a clear and accessible manner (in talks, hackathons, workshops, meetings…)
  • Build demo applications or reference workflows based on our technology
  • Collaborate with internal teams and contribute to the work done on FTQC roadmap, error correction, and resource estimation
  • Create technical content (guides, benchmark overviews, memos, slides)
  • Help identify which applications will best demonstrate our unique advantages
  • Requirements:

  • PhD or MSc in quantum information, condensed matter, quantum chemistry, or similar, with 3 years of experience
  • Strong grasp of quantum algorithms and fault-tolerant architectures
  • Experience with simulation, quantum-classical hybrid methods, or cryptanalysis is a plus
  • Passionate about making quantum computing useful and accessible (without the hype). Experience with customer-facing role (US and Europe).
  • Great communication skills, especially for technically demanding audiences
  • Benefits:

  • 25-day vacation policy (as per French law) + RTT
  • Half of transportation cost coverage (as per French law), or yearly allowance for the die-hard bicycle users
  • Competitive health benefits with Helium/AXA.
  • Meal vouchers with Swile + access to a fully-equipped kitchen.
  • Parental benefits with crèche support
  • Flexible remote policy, up to 40 % a month.
  • Mental health support with moka.care
  • Subsidized membership with Urban Sports Club
  • Recruitment Process:

  • Screening Call with Doriane (30 min)
  • Hiring Manager Interview (60 min)
  • Technical Interview with the Team (60 min)
  • Leadership/Fit Interview (45 min)
  • Reference check

You will join of one of the most innovative startups in France at an early stage, to be part of a passionate and friendly team on its mission to build the first universal quantum computer!

We love to share and learn from one another, so you will be certain to innovate, develop new ideas, and have the space to grow.
