The position

Job description

As Chief Data Officer (CDO), you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of data within our business. You will work closely with senior management teams to define the vision, strategy and objectives for data. Your role will be to develop and implement initiatives to maximise the value of data, ensure data quality, strengthen data governance and foster a data-driven culture across the business.

You will report to General Management and your responsibilities will include :

  • Define Company data strategy related to sourcing, usages and added value generation of data internally or externally in alignment with Company overall strategy

  • Develop and execute healthcare data management, implementation and monetization strategies

  • Develop a data roadmap that enables efficient execution and concretization of the strategy

  • In collaboration with the engineering and software development divisions, implementation of automation on data management workflows, pipelines

  • Develop sourcing strategy for all types of data useful to the Company projects

  • Link the data sourcing strategies with R&D initiatives

  • Setup internal channels and processes for internal data generation (generative AI) & reusability

  • Ensure maintenance and efficiency as well as security of data lifecycle within the Company

  • Provide regular data dashboard to reflect on database content & volume as well as quality and efficiency of processes related to data usage within the Company

  • Ensure regulatory compliance ISO27001, HDS, HIPAA, CNIL, HDH etc. .

  • Develop and manage data experts resources that will contribute actively to data quality and efficient use on projects

  • Develop database and related tools and pipelines


Preferred experience

  • PhD degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Applied Mathematics or related field.

  • At least 10 years working in a leading technological role with emphasis on medical devices

  • At least 5 years managerial experience.Advanced technological skill set and a demonstrated history with technology.

  • Experience on managing large scale interdisciplinary projects with public and private partners

  • Strategic thinking and drive in execution

  • Business acumen and understanding of business models related to data

  • Experience with processing of multi-modal medical data,

  • Understanding and experience of health data regulation and legal framework HDS or HIPAA and ISO27011

  • Ability to plan, organize and pilot efficiently complex and numerous workstreams in order to meet deadlines

  • Exceptional team management skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Ability to delegate efficiently.

  • Extensive technology/scientific and industry knowledge with an eye towards the future.
