Job Purpose :

The Head of Olefins & Circularity department is responsible to manage a pool of process engineers in the Field of Olefins (steam cracking technology, refinery off-gas) and Circularity Technologies (plastic recycling) and projects in Paris Operating Center. 

She/He shall ensure delivery and continuous improvement of process competencies within technological developments, proposals, projects and/or operations while ensuring technological capitalization related to Olefins & Circularity technologies.

He / She is accountable for performance on projects, proposals, and development.

She/He is recognized as one of the main technology leaders supporting Group Technology initiative project at Group level.

 

Job Accountabilities:

  • Manages a team composed of about 25 process engineers (performance monitoring, Expert / Engineer’s recruitment, carrier development, motivation, mentoring, etc.).
  • Defines objectives and proposes development plans and long-term vision and orientation of the Department in line with Process Division Objectives.
  • Ensures the proper assignment of Process Managers/Engineers to R&D, proposals, projects and operations and the development of suitable process resources and skills related to his/her technology 
  • Provides technological support and advice for project execution.
  • Contributes to the technological image of the Company: liaises with counterparts in & outside of the company, Business Lines (BLs), Technology & Innovation (T&I), Clients and licensors, publishes papers.
  • Orients and provides support to R&D activities in coordination with T&I
  • Reports on the whole team activities to Process & Technology Management, projects and/or operations Management, including budget follow-up.
  • Checks and approves contract articles relevant to guarantees, liabilities and test run procedures.
  • Prepares and contributes to negotiation of process parts of proposals.
  • Approves man-hours budget on projects and proposals.
  • Approves the Process execution and quality plan for the projects.
  • Guarantees that the operating, HSE and quality control procedures and measurements, as well as project specifications are followed.
  • Leads the development of a process knowledge database as far as specific issues related to technology: ensures feedbacks and lessons learned are collected and treated, liaises with counterparts in other centers.

Reports to: Head of the Process & Technologies division of Paris Operating Center

Interactions: Project Management teams / All departments of the Process & Technology Division / Business Line / E&S / T&I / Proposal teams / Clients / Licensors

 

Profile:

  • More than 15 years’ experience in Process Design and/or Technology
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Olefins technology Field
  • Strong Knowledge of Technip Energies Processes and Practices
  • Significant experience within project execution
  • Proven experience in team management
  • Excellent leadership and influential skills
  • Collaborative: creates an inclusive culture and fosters global collaboration among the teams
  • Proactive, self-starter motivated towards achieving pre-agreed targets and objectives;
  • Fluency in English
