Reporting to the Technology Manager, the Technology Specialist will be responsible on the IT side for ensuring that all hardware and software is functioning properly, resolving technical issues, and providing timely support to end-users.
The Technology Specialist will also oversee network, systems and cloud support to help grow our current infrastructure following the best practice.
The main missions are:
Support the teamS:
Investigate and resolve IT support tickets and incidents;
Work on and for multiple environments, both corporate and esport oriented;
Identify gaps between user needs (documentation and training) and what exists;
Develop the end user documentation with the aim to improve user knowledge and self sufficiency.
Equipment procurement and lifecycle management :
Buy equipment, according to our current processes, or challenge them and propose new ones;
Manage equipment logistics - delivery and possible shipping;
Asset inventory - ensure our equipment inventory is up-to-date.
Make sure our employees equipments are operational and answering our quality & performance requirements (e.g our catalog is following industry standards - ex: new Lenovo/Apple laptops, desktop Windows image up to our golden standards);
Ensure our meeting room equipments and Printers (and other Tech equipment) are operational.
Network and systems:
Continuously monitor the capacity and performance of the Tech resources network, servers, storage, etc;
Developp our monitoring capabilities;
Ensure that all of our systems are maintened in operational condition.
Projects:
Collaborate on an improved Network and System Monitoring system;
Elevate our infrastructure by fully migrating to Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
User support and capability to understand and explain some technical points
Knowledge of Google Workspace, Windows, Linux and Mac
Network knowledge (DHCP, VLAN, Firewall, DNS)
Virtualization Knowledge (Proxmox)
Scripting for task automation
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to prioritize and quickly resolve issues
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Strong interest in emerging technologies and market trends
Fluent in English
The manager in charge of recruitment reviews the applications, and schedules an initial interview by videoconference or at our offices, then the HR manager meets the candidate for a second interview, preferably in person. A third interview may be scheduled with the future N+2.
