What impact will you make?

As the Cell Biology Product Specialist for Takara Bio Europe, the successful candidate will work within the marketing team to help develop a thorough understanding of market segments and technologies associated with cell biology in numerous scientific fields. Then, this role will offer the opportunity to actively craft and influence our product developments for the viral transduction, T-cell transduction and culture and gene editing portfolios, driving towards increased market share.

What will you do?

  • Manage viral transduction, T-cell transduction and culture, and gene editing product lines: coordinate product developments, launch processes, product lifecycle management, promotions, product line reviews, competitive landscape.

  • Contribute to coordinating information flows to all affiliates, support sales by providing material, trainings, and attending customer discussions.

  • Help develop tactical marketing plans and contribute to the strategic plans in collaboration with the Market Strategy Management team.

  • Travel approximately 10-15% of the time, for customer visits and for European conferences/tradeshows.


Preferred experience

  • Broad theoretical and practical knowledge of cell biology at a Ph.D. level, with direct experience in cell culture, viral transduction, and gene editing.

  • Experience working in the fields of oncology, immunology or cell & gene therapy with a thorough understanding of at least one of these markets.

  • Good understanding of the latest methods in cell culture and engineering (viral and non-viral engineering), and what is coming next.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English is a must. A good level of French is an advantage.

  • Highly organised, customer and business oriented.
