The position

Job description

To sustain our exponential growth and as part of our globalization strategy, we are looking for new talents to help us grow our business and conquer new markets worldwide.

The role is 80 % of sales and 20% of operations.

As Country manager, you are responsible for the development and expansion of our business in the UK, with the aim of becoming market leaders through a successful market entry. You will :

  • Develop a portfolio of new clients : key accounts, start ups, agencies on various sectors such as : retail, events, catering
  • Set up a structure and corresponding processes in order to develop our major customers in the best possible way as key accounts
  • Define KPIs that you regularly track in order to measure and continuously improve the success of various sales strategies.
  • Create a data base of hundreds of students to meet clients needs
  • Manage a budget
  • Work closely with the French Product Team in order to adapt the existing system

Once you will have demonstrated your ability to build a portfolio of clients and develop the operations, you will :

  • Build your own team in London and spread the Pop Spirit within your management
  • Implement a structure with the aspiration to provide the best possible experience in the market

You will be under the direct supervision of the Student Pop CEO.

You will count on the ressources, dedication, and expertise of the french teams to get all the training and support you need to duplicate the business in the UK.


Preferred experience

  • You have +7 years of experience in sales and/or business development with a strong international background and you ́re willing and able to personally deliver the critical early sales - calling, pitching and negotiating.
  • You have a background in B2B retail, recruitment, hospitalities or sales events
  • Ideally you have previously launched your own business
  • You already had a Student job experience and you want to propose a better opportunity/job experience to students.
  • You have resided in the UK for several years and have developed a strong understanding of the local culture and business environment.
  • You are enthusiastic, ambitious, self-motivated and hands-on with a strong work ethic
  • You are as able to work independently as leading teams
  • You ideally speak french (which is the 1 language used in our Paris office)
