The Territory Manager’s main mission will be to plan and execute his/her business plan in their sales area in order to drive sales.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute a territory business plan; sell and promote Stilla’s products with a focus on Life Sciences to meet territory sales goals for the assigned region.
• Care and support of the assigned customers, while maintaining the highest level of integrity with all customer interactions
• Monitor and evaluate the market including competitive services, products, pricing and other activities, providing feedback to the organization.
• Conduct account reviews with commercial leadership. Provide support and advice on sales strategies.
• Ensure that CRM entries for accounts and opportunities are accurate and up-to-date.
• Represent Stilla through active participation in sales training, seminars and various tradeshows and roadshows. Organize and perform product demonstrations at customers’ sites (with scientific support as needed).
• Prepare and organize seminars and/or webinars to a wide array of audiences.
• Provide guidance and intel to Product management and Inside Sales and support lead-gen campaigns.
• May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
• Must be available for up to 60% of time for travel and time in the field for customer visits. Travel may include overnight stays. Travel within the assigned territory will be a significant part of the job.
Our ideal candidate:
• Requires a Master degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• An advanced degree is a bonus.
• Requires a minimum of 5 years sales experience in Life Sciences, with capital equipment experience being a bonus.
• Must understand the funding cycles of capital equipment and tracking of all sales activities and metrics in a CRM.
• Proficiency with sales management approaches (insight selling, Miller Heiman, etc.).
• Strong desire to win business and establish long-term customer relationships.
• Broad knowledge of genomics technologies (PCR, qPCR, dPCR, NGS) and their applications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team toward corporate goals.
• Result driven and accountable for his region.
• Excellent French & English communication skills and outstanding presentation skills, Dutch will be a plus.
• Clear vision and commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
• Ability to manage a large territory.
• Fluent French & English, Dutch would be considered as a plus.
