Job description

In a sector as vital and fast-evolving as offshore wind, we believe that clear, human-led analysis is the key to making the right decisions. We are looking for a Lead Offshore Wind Analyst to join our team of 7 offshore specialists. This is not just a role for a technical expert, but for a mentor and a practitioner who enjoys working alongside their team to contribute to the meaningful goals of the energy transition.

Location: This role is open to candidates based in either:

  • Paris: Working from our global headquarters.

  • London: Based in our WeWork office alongside our Customer Success (CSM) team.

Missions include:

  • Team Coordination & Mentorship: You will guide a team of 2 analysts. Your role is to ensure a healthy work environment, foster professional growth, and provide the technical support your team needs to succeed.

  • Hands-on Market Insights: While you are a Manager, you remain close to the operational reality. You will contribute directly to maintaining the quality of Spinergie’s offshore wind data platform, modelling and exploring wind projects, and the monitoring of global offshore wind developments.

  • Market Specialist: As an offshore wind analyst, your role focuses on every stage of offshore wind project development: from early stages, through construction and operational phases, up to decommissioning. You will stay connected to main main developers, key contractors, marine spreads and supply chain, understanding the key market drivers and supply-demand bottlenecks.

  • Quality of Synthesis: You will be responsible for the clarity and accuracy of our English-language reports. You have a talent for taking complex data and making it readable and useful for our partners and internal teams.

  • Internal Collaboration: You will act as a bridge between our data science experts and the commercial team, ensuring that our analytical tools are grounded in the practical realities of the offshore wind market.

  • Network Engagement: You will maintain a professional connection with the offshore wind community, staying informed of industry shifts to ensure our team’s work remains relevant and forward-thinking.

What you are looking for

  • Fast-growing, supportive startup culture

  • The opportunity to have an impact on the evolving offshore wind sector, across the globe, and the digitalisation of the maritime sector.

  • Contributing to the energy transition, working for offshore wind projects and towards digitalization of the maritime sector

  • Gain exposure to the global maritime, shipping and offshore energy industries (offshore wind, subsea cables, …)

Preferred experience

Core Requirements:

  • Proven Experience: 8 to 10 years of professional path, including at least 5 years dedicated to the wind industry.

  • Management Style: You have at least 3 years of experience managing small teams. You believe in a collaborative, supportive management style rather than a top-down approach.

  • Language Proficiency: You are fluent in English (written and oral). You can draft precise, nuanced reports and engage naturally with international stakeholders.

  • Operational Drive: You have a genuine “appetite for operational work.” You aren’t afraid to dive into the data yourself when the project requires it.

  • Location: ideally based in London or Paris

Values Skills & Qualities

  • Analytical Mindset: You have a natural curiosity for data and enjoy the process of discovery within market trends.

  • Diversity in Leadership: We are committed to a balanced workplace and strongly encourage female professionals to apply for this leadership role.

  • Field Knowledge: Any prior experience with offshore trips, site visits, or maritime operations is a strong asset that helps ground your insights in reality.

No candidate perfectly meets all the requirements. If this role excites you and you believe you can bring value to our team, we encourage you to apply!

We are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and identities

Recruitment process

  • Selection on resume and cover letter

  • Discovery: a call with the Head of Analysts to learn more about Spinergie and the role,  explain your experience and motivation for the role

  • Competence: an onsite interview with the Head of Analysts and our Lead Offshore O&G Analyst to give you the opportunity to demonstrate your skills. During that session, the candidate will present a one-hour technical exercise, followed by a Q&A.

  • Culture: company culture-fit interview with the CPO & co-founder and the Head of People

  • Meet with the team
