The position

Job description

Within the Payment operations team, based in Paris, you will participate in accurate and timely performance of day-to-day operational activities such as banking ledger tasks, account lifecycle management, as well as supporting customers and internal stakeholders with inquiries about bank transfer processing or card-related events.

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily banking ledger and account transactions; execute funds
    segregation, process manual corrections and adjustments; investigate
    anomalies with Finance and Technical Engineering; coordinate with external
    banking partners to unblock cases and resolve operational issues.
  • Manage the account lifecycle: account closures, liquidation process, negative
    balance recovery, fund withdrawals/redemptions, and legal seizures (e.g.,
    SA/SATD); ensure clear communication, timely documentation, and proper
    archiving.
  • Daily support customers and internal users on bank transfers; investigate
    rejected/failed missing or delayed payments and coordinate fixes with internal
    teams and banking partners.
  • Support card operations upon request (acceptance issues, chargebacks,
    settlement/SCA queries)
  • Adhere to operating procedures and SLAs; maintain accurate records;
    escalate bugs, risks or blockers promptly.
    Contribute to continuous process improvements and assist the team with
    ad‑hoc operational tasks/projects as needed.


    What we're looking for: 

    Essential requirements

    • 1–2 years’ experience in banking operations, finance, or payments
    • High rigour and attention to detail
    • Fast learner, comfortable adopting new tools and evolving processes

    Technical skills

    • Working knowledge of SEPA and core banking processes
    • Experienced with back-office systems and ticketing tools (e.g., JIRA/Intercom/Zendesk)
    • Skilled in Excel for reporting and analysis
    • Basic understanding of compliance/AML and card scheme rules
    • Clear, concise communication in FR/EN with customers, internal and external
      stakeholders

      respect SLAs
    • Collaborative across internal teams and external partners
    • Analytical problem-solver; knows when to escalate
