Role Purpose
As Agriculture Communication Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive communication strategy throughout the farmer journey (recruitment, engagement and retention). You will lead the farmer communication strategy and our retention efforts. You will align efforts with the sales team and the agronomy team to ensure coherence in our communications to farmers, how we scale farmer participation while maintaining trusted and local relationships.
Key Responsibilities
1. Communication strategy
Define and own the farmer communication strategy, aligned with business goals and farmer recruitment and renewal objectives per territory (UK, FR, BE).
Position Soil Capital’s programme credibly to different farmer personas in different geographies.
Foster cross-functional farmer communication with all teams involved in the farmer’s journey (especially sales, agronomic, product teams).
2. Retention
Manage and own the farmer communication throughout their Soil Capital journey : renewal, data input, audit, results, payments.

Contribute to the renewal strategy alongside the sales team to maximize retention
3. Engagement
Ensure the delivery of compelling storytelling, educational content, and event presence.
Oversee the management of our own farmers networking community (publication roadmap, cross-team organisation for content creation, group animation)
4. Farmer Acquisition
Oversee campaign development (online/offline) to drive Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs)
Optimize the referral program, partnerships with partners/influencers, and local events
Establish KPIs and systems to monitor channel conversion rates and campaign ROI
5. Communication & Events
Organise farmers webinars with farmers in the programme
Refine and streamline marketing processes for farmer communications (email, SMS, WhatsApp etc)
Supervise content planning, performance dashboards, HubSpot workflows, and CRM hygiene
Coordinate farmer events with sales/agro teams
6. Cross-team Alignment with Sales, Product, Agronomy and Impact teams
Work closely with the Sales team to co-develop sales enablement tools.
Collaborate with the teams to gather farmer feedback and enhance messaging across the customer journey.
Drive thought leadership and insights that support trust-building and community creation.
Required Experience
3-5 years in communication with a strong emphasis on agriculture.
Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Desired Skills
Deep understanding of farmer mindset and trust-building in agriculture
Knowledge of sustainability-focused business
Proficiency with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred) and performance tracking.
Data-driven working with KPIs to guide priorities and measure success.
Project management and cross-functional coordination skills.
Fluent in English and French.
