In this role, you will be contributing to risk management activities of the organization and will participate in the performance of controls, helping to assess risk, responding to audits, etc.

The VIE for Operational Risk Management will contribute to the HR risk management activities of HR in the Americas (Brazil, Canada and the United States). The individual will participate in the performance and update of permanent controls, help to assess HR risks, responding to HR internal and external audits, and update HR key risk indicators. Detail responsibilities include:
  • Identify risk areas
  • Continuously assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the control framework in place to reduce and mitigate risks (permanent supervision)
  • Propose action plans to address residual risks
  • Prepare and submit the HR metrics (commentary collection, input in the respective tool, etc.)
  • Ensure a follow-up of the implementation of all action plans
  • Updating controls and monitoring performance
  • Checking on required compliance to trainings
  • Assisting in policy updates and monitoring
  • Taking part to risks committees

Profile required

Studies & experience:
  • Graduate with a Master's degree from Business/Engineering School or University in a related filed (Finance, Human Ressources or Operational Risk Management)
  • A previous experience in the Financial Market sector or in Operational Risk Management in an HR environment would be appreciated

Language skills:
  • Fluent in English

Technical, operational & soft skills:
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient/Good command of MS Office
  • Results-oriented
  • Proactive and innovative


The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Montreal is to begin on September 1st 2025, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
