The Communication department of Société Générale in Asia-Pacific is ensuring:

- The definition and implementation of the Communication strategy in the region, in line with SG group communication and Asia-Pacific overall strategy and objectives

- The promotion of SG's brand, culture, values, and business expertise to its internal and external stakeholders in the Asia Pacific region across the different communication channels

- The support for their communication of its corporate functions and business activities, principally in Financing & Advisory, Global Markets and Investor solutions, Asset Management, and Transaction Banking

This Communication department consists of a team based in Hong Kong - hub for the regional and group coordination - and dedicated teams in key locations: India, Japan, Mainland China and Singapore for South East Asia. The team is structured around Communication leads - designing & delivering dedicated communication plans on given topics of expertise (project managers) - and Channel experts across all the communication/marketing mix (Advertising, Design, Digital, Editorial, Events, Media relations, Partnerships).

The V.I.E. will support all locations in the region and in coordination with the teams in the French headquarters and supervised by the Brand and Partnership Communication Manager Asia Pacific and will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the consistent use of the brand and providing relevant communication materials
  • Defining the advertising strategy and implementing media-buy campaigns
  • Activating partnership assets and managing 360-communication plans to promote Société Générale's sport, cultural and charitable commitments

Detailed responsibilities include:

- Branding:
  • Ensure the consistent use of the brand and local adaptations, internally and externally, in respect of the visual identity and legal framework
  • Provide key messages and creative guidelines for any communication material: logo, print or digital, video, merchandising products, marketing collaterals...
  • Follow-up for any brand survey in the region

- Advertising:
  • Identify KPIs and brief media-buy agencies
  • Define and implement the advertising strategy
  • Review advertising opportunities and ROI reports

- Partnership:
  • Facilitate the activation of Group sponsorship and charitable initiatives in the region
  • Identify and manage local partnerships in line with SG's image in Asia Pacific, especially those from the French institutions (Consulate, Chamber, etc.)

- Project management
  • Lead and act as main contact on the above activities
  • Create 360-communication plans, from strategic planning to campaign delivery
  • Assist the management of related budget

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
  • Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Marketing/Communication/Advertising
  • A previous experience in Marketing/Communication project managementwould be appreciated

Language skills:
  • Fluent in English and in French (B2-C1)

Technical, operational & Soft skills:
  • Proficient/Good command of MS Office
  • Outstanding presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Flawless attention to detail, organized approach and multi-tasker
  • Creative mindset in an already established strategic framework
  • Agile, curious and forward-thinking: ability to question and revisit any action
  • Strong coordination, relationship and adaptation skills
  • Team player who can work with all levels of staff in all business/support functions as well as external stakeholders
  • Service-driven, dynamic and open-minded

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Honk Kong is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
