Pierre jumped on board as Skynopy’s co-founder and CEO from day one, bringing a unique blend of aerospace engineering expertise and entrepreneurial spirit. Pierre has a background that spans everything from managing satellite production lines at OneWeb to lead the operational setup of Loft Orbital's French subsidiary. He now drives the vision to revolutionize satellite connectivity, fueled by a relentless curiosity for space and innovation.
Meet Valentine, Radio frequency engineer
As one of the youngest members of the team, Valentine brings sharp technical insight and fresh energy to Skynopy’s cutting-edge space communication systems. She works across multiple layers of the telecom architecture, leading efforts in RF link modeling, onboard systems analysis, and end-to-end system sizing.
Her work ensures that mission planning is grounded in precise and reliable link budget calculations. Beyond simulations and analysis, Valentine also contributes to integrating her models into Skynopy’s backend services, helping transform engineering insights into scalable, real-time applications.
Meet Paul, Cloud architect
As Skynopy’s first hire, Paul laid the technical foundations of a next-generation satellite connectivity service. Blending cloud architecture, cybersecurity, and product strategy, he’s building a sovereign and scalable infrastructure that links satellites to their operators worldwide. He drives the cloud vision, shapes the product roadmap, and embeds security at the core of every layer. A firm believer in “secure by design,” Paul moves seamlessly between hands-on engineering and long-term thinking to help position Skynopy as a European ground segment leader.
Skynopy was founded in September 2023 when two former Loft Orbital executives made a simple observation: while the number of satellite launches is booming, ground infrastructure is struggling to keep pace.
In just 18 months, Skynopy has developed and commercialised its ‘ground station as a service’ solution for LEO satellite operators, raised €15 million and built a close-knit team of a dozen passionate engineers and entrepreneurial minds.
