Job description

We are seeking a visionary and technically accomplished Director of AI – Predictions to lead our data science efforts in revolutionizing how sports teams leverage predictive analytics. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sports, data, and cutting-edge AI technologies, with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions in high-performance environments.

Main Missions

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of data scientists focused on delivering predictive insights to elite sports organizations.

  • Strategic Direction: Define and drive the AI roadmap, aligning technical innovation with business goals and product strategy.

  • Project Delivery: Oversee the execution of AI projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to the highest quality standards.

  • Client Engagement: Act as a key liaison with current and prospective clients, translating their needs into actionable data solutions.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with product managers, sales, analysts, engineers, and computer vision experts to ensure seamless product development and validation.

  • Technical Expertise: Provide hands-on guidance on complex modelling challenges, especially in deep learning and sports data applications.

Preferred experience

Profile & Skills

  • 4+ years of experience managing data science teams in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.

  • Proven ability to define technical roadmaps and lead multi-stakeholder projects.

  • Deep expertise in machine learning, especially in predictive modelling.

  • Strong understanding of how sports teams use data for match analysis and recruitment.

  • Must have experience working directly with or within a professional sports club.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Fluent in English. Your role will involve communicating with our France-based teams and international stakeholders.

Bonus

  • Expertise in creating and processing event data and tracking data.

  • Hands-on experience training and deploying deep learning models in production environments.
