At our Siemens Foundational Technologies Development Center we are focused on a product development including software development, hardware development, mechanical design, and testing for the next generation concept of Industry 4.0.
Join us in development of an industrial automation platform designed for field devices, some of them designed for safety-critical applications up to SIL3. This innovative solution emphasizes standardization across flow, level, pressure, temperature and other measurement applications, and supports a wide array of communication protocols including HART®, PROFINET, MODBUS, PROFIBUS PA, EtherNet/IP, and more. You will work closely with experts from various fields—including software architecture, continuous integration, development, hardware, mechanical design, and certifications—both locally and internationally.
Your task will be:
- Manage testing activities from planning to realization and reporting on various levels (unit test, integration test, system test, performance tests, certification tests …)
- Ensuring the test processes adhere to functional safety standards up to SIL3
- Managing testing resources - personnel, budgets, equipment, …
- Analyzing, creating and maintaining testing documentation and its relations to other project documents.
- Designing, realizing and maintaining of test automation
- Designing, constructing and managing test devices and test setups
- Making use of AI assistants to maximize productivity
What we will appreciate from you:
- Familiarity with programming and scripting languages (i.e. C/C++, C#, Java, Python, …)
- Understanding of industrial sensors and embedded devices specifics is an advantage
- Experience with test requirements systems and test documentation and analysis tools (i.e. Jenkins, Jira, TFS, Azure DevOps, …)
- Experience with industrial communication busses appreciated (PROFINET, Modbus, ethernet, HART …)
- Experience with certification testing appreciated (SIL, EX, various ISO, …)
- Practical experience with setting up a testing project and leading a testing team
- Ability and willingness to learn and understand complex project environment and its documentation
- Familiarity with continuous integration practices, including build configuration management and scripting, is an advantage.
- Awareness of functional safety standards (such as IEC 61508) and their implications for testing processes is advantageous
- Open mindset
- Actively used English language
