You will join the Product team to take the lead of an Impact team with 3 to 4 developers. Each team is responsible for an objective and key metrics to impact. The objective depends on the global company objectives: the focus of an impact team can change over the year. Product challenges are therefore very varied and stimulating 💪

Product Roadmap & Prioritization

You will define the product strategy within your impact team.

• Continuously engage with stakeholders and users to understand their requirements and feed the product roadmap.
• Build and maintain the product roadmap by using a high degree of judgment to make critical trade-offs, in order to make sure you are solving the right problems
• Keep maintaining the backlog of your team correctly prioritized

Product Discovery

At Selency, all product managers are responsible for gathering and understanding our user’s needs (buyers, sellers and Selency’s team members) in order to build the best experience. You will be responsible for implementing the discovery process in your impact team to identify the right problems and craft the solutions

• Implement the right discovery method to identify a problem (interviews, users tests, workshop with the team…)
• Define the solution with key business stakeholders and your team’s developers
• Collect continuous feedbacks from our users
• Benchmark on a regular basis to keep up to date with opportunities and innovations

Product Delivery

You will work with the developers in your team to execute the solution and release the best possible experience

• Write clear and concise specs and user stories, and challenge them with developers
• Share the QA with the developers and give them feedbacks on their work
• Analyze feature performance and generate product insights to either iterate or eliminate feature
• Communicate clearly and regularly to the stakeholders of a project

Experience

• Experience in Product management or Project Management in a web-based company - 2+ years of experience
• Past experience in a startup environment is a plus

Skills

• Structured problem solver, with excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities
• Pragmatic thinker, you can make decisions under tight deadlines and manage prioritizations
• Empathetic, you understand what users need and issues that your teammates face
• Execution-oriented, you’re highly organized and you can manage many work streams. You ensure that teams release on time
• Extreme attention to details and real passion for building online products. You have a strong appetite for UX/UI;
• Good speaker, you share the right information by communicating regularly with key people from the whole team
