💡 Overview

As an Account Executive at ScorePlay, you will drive new business with sports broadcasters and production houses across Europe and own complex, multi stakeholder sales cycles from first conversation to signed contract.

This is a consultative SaaS sales role that combines account strategy, relationship building, and disciplined deal execution from discovery to close.

You will work a focused book of around 25 named accounts, create qualified opportunities, and close new logos while partnering closely with Product, Customer Success, and Marketing to grow our Broadcast and Production business in Europe.

🧠 What you’ll work on:

New business and deal leadership

  • Own the full sales cycle for your accounts, including discovery, value mapping, ROI building, proposals, negotiation, and closing.

  • Build multi threaded relationships across Production, Content, Digital, IT, and Executive stakeholders.

  • Create mutual close plans, manage legal and commercial steps, and maintain accurate forecasts.

Account strategy and pipeline creation

  • Build tiered account plans for your target list, including org maps, incumbent tools, contract timelines, and entry strategies.

  • Generate pipeline through events such as IBC, warm introductions, and targeted outreach, with limited pure cold calling.

Consultative discovery and storytelling

  • Run structured discovery with multiple personas to understand pains, current workflows, and business impact.

  • Create clear narratives and product demos that speak to both senior non technical and technical buyers.

  • Partner with Solutions and Customer Success on evaluations and proof phases.

Cross functional collaboration

  • Work with Customer Success on handovers and early adoption to set accounts up for expansion.

  • Share market feedback with Product and Engineering to help shape the roadmap.

  • Partner with Marketing on case studies, reference wins, and event strategy.

🧩 What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years of full cycle B2B SaaS sales experience, closing complex deals with multiple stakeholders and longer sales cycles.

  • A track record of owning opportunities end to end and building credibility with senior stakeholders, up to C level and Heads of Department.

  • Strong consultative skills, including multi persona discovery, business case and ROI building, and clear, structured recommendation decks.

  • Excellent communication and relationship skills, comfortable with executive meetings, industry events, and long term nurturing.

  • Fluent English. German, French, Italian, or Spanish are strong pluses.

  • You do not need prior media or broadcast experience. We will help you ramp up on the industry and ecosystem.

Nice to have, not required

  • Experience selling into media, sports, or content focused organizations.

  • Experience with media technology, for example live production, contribution, editing, archives, or distribution.

  • Interest in sports and media and familiarity with rights holders, leagues, or federations.
