Schneider Electric electrification practice is helping industrial customer in their electrification journey. It is an organization gathering all expertise required to assess and engineer solutions that allows substituting fossil fuel energy by electricity and helping organizations reaching their decarbonation targets. Our fast-growing organization is now seeking to hire an electrical domain expert for EMEA region. The preferred candidate will have demonstrated experience in power system design projects for industrial sites (HV and MV) or Power to X projects.Your role :As part of the domain expert team, you'll provide expert advisory to our client on their electrification journey. This is a unique opportunity to explore a wide range of segments, from Power to X projects to green steel to customer packaged good.In this position, you will work hand in hand with consultants and other domain expert to build solutions for our clients.Your missions :
- Work closely with the clients to understand their challenges and propose solutions. Identify the right level of engineering according to project stage (which can range from feasibility to detailed design)
- Front the customer for the project execution as a technical leader and power system expert.
- Co-develop technical solution with other domain experts (process, thermal, control system); your scope will be electrical design from HV up to LV
- Subcontract and validate electrical calculations for power distribution (loads, equipment sizing, feeder sizing, voltage selection, grounding, load flow, short circuit calculation, dynamic modeling)
- Optimize electrical design of industrial plants according to clients targets
- Propose a revised operation philosophy to the electrified system
- Lead technical team and front client for electrical basic to detailed design projects
This is a customer facing role, hence smooth communication & business acumen is required as well as flexibility and agility.You will also have to demonstrate functional leadership in the organization.
Your profile :- Electrical Engineering degree
- English fluency is a must / another language would be appreciated.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Power System
- Hands-on experience with Industrial projects as electrical technical leader
- Experience being the power system authority in front of clients and partner
- Understanding of grid code and requirements for connecting to grid
- Knowledge of HV/MV product typical ratings and ability to propose alternative optimized electrical design
Your skills :- Ability to define relevant assumptions when information is missing and to work with limited client data
- Flexibility and ability to handle multiple projects in parallel
- Practical ability to design and size plant power system
- Experience with an engineering company (consultancy or EPC
- Power system design and optimization techniques
- Ability to interpret and explain results of advanced power system studies to clients (ETAP knowledge is a plus)
- Communication & leadership skills, effective in a cross-cultural environment to foster collaboration toward a common goal.
- Proven skills in building & writing technical documents.
- Rigorous and willingness to learn
