The position

Job description

We are looking for an experienced IT Expert to take full technical ownership of our global Trade Finance platform, ensuring its successful deployment, stability, and continuous evolution across all regions.

Your role :

This role is central to enabling secure, efficient, and compliant execution of Trade Finance operations-including Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Documentary Collections, and Supply Chain Finance-while supporting connectivity with banks, internal systems, and global stakeholders.

The position requires a deep understanding of Trade Finance processes and technical integration patterns, combined with strong operational discipline. The IT Expert will manage complex multi-country rollouts, maintain platform performance and availability, oversee incident and change management activities, and drive improvements that enhance business productivity and risk control. This is a hands-on role at the heart of a critical global capability.

Your responsibilities :

Platform Deployment & Integration

  • Lead end-to-end deployment of the global Trade Finance platform Global Trade Konnect by Komgo across regions and business units.
  • Configure application components, interfaces, and system parameters according to business and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure, security, and networking teams to ensure seamless integration with enterprise systems (ERP, treasury, cash management, credit systems, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain installation procedures, technical runbooks, and deployment documentation.
Maintenance & Operations
  • Oversee day-to-day platform operations, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity.
  • Monitor system health, transaction flows, and service levels; proactively identify and remediate issues.
  • Implement regular updates, patches, and major version upgrades in coordination with vendors and internal teams.
  • Maintain and enhance interfaces (APIs, file transfers, workflow engines) with internal and external partners (banks, service providers).
User Support & Incident Management
  • Provide Tier 3 expert support for functional and technical issues raised by global users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, infrastructure, and integration incidents.
  • Manage service requests, incident queues, and root-cause analysis.
  • Train and guide local IT resources and business users on platform functionality, best practices, and new releases.
Continuous Improvement & Governance
  • Identify opportunities to improve system functionality, automation, and operational efficiency.
  • Support audit and compliance reviews, including platform certification, IT controls, segregation of duties, data and cyber security.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Coordinate with the Project manager, global process owner and IT teams .


Your profile :

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in application support or IT operations for Trade Finance.
  • Experience in global organizations with multi-country deployments is highly valued.
  • Excellent written ands spoken English as this is the working language
  • Experience in implementing and supporting the Global Trade Konnect Trade Finance platform by the editor Komgo.
  • Strong understanding of trade finance instruments: Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Collections, Supply Chain Finance, Export/Import workflows.
  • Solid knowledge of API integration, REST/SOAP services, messaging queues, and file transfer mechanisms (SFTP, SWIFT, ISO20022).
  • Knowledge of SAP 4 Hana will be an optional but strong plus
  • Familiarity with analytics for Trade Finance
  • Understanding of generative AI capabilities applied to Trade Finance
  • An understanding of relational databases
  • Experience with cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools , job scheduling, and batch processing.
  • Good understanding of cybersecurity practices: IAM, encryption, certificates, secure channels, vulnerability management.
  • Ability to script and automate tasks using Python would be a plus
  • Experience analyzing logs and performing performance tuning.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate technical information for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to incident resolution.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with global, multi-cultural teams.
  • Customer-oriented mindset and a commitment to service quality.
  • Ability to manage priorities, deadlines, and multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • High level of adaptability and resilience in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong documentation discipline.
