Job summary :

Schneider eStar, a joint venture between Schneider Electric and StarCharge Europe, combines European market expertise with storage and EV charging infrastructure leadership. We provide solutions and services tailored for residential, commercial, and industrial sectors to facilitate the energy transition.

Your role :

As our Technical Support Expert for DC Charging, you will be the ultimate authority for resolving the most critical technical challenges across our High-Power Charging (HPC) portfolio. This role requires a proactive mindset and deep expertise in power electronics and vehicle interoperability. You will take full ownership of complex issues, collaborating intensively with international R&D teams to find solutions. Your goal is not just to fix problems, but to drive product stability and build a knowledge base that strengthens our entire support ecosystem.

Your missions :

  • Expert Support (70%):
    • Lead root cause analysis for escalated support cases involving high-power electronics, control logic, and software.
    • Troubleshoot complex issues related to vehicle-charger interoperability, OCPP communication, load management, and network integration.
    • Act as the primary technical liaison between the European support team and international R&D teams for DC product issues.
    • Ensure all support activities meet our strict Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Empowerment & Proactive Improvement (30%):
    • Demonstrate strong ownership by actively monitoring the performance of the DC charger install base and identifying potential systemic issues before they escalate.
    • Proactively analyze support data to identify recurring issues and trends, and propose solutions to R&D.
    • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the DC portfolio, authoring, reviewing, and maintaining high-quality technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides and Knowledge Base articles to empower L1/L2 teams.
    • Provide technical expertise and content for advanced service training programs.
Your profile :
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related technical field
  • 3-5 years of experience in a technical support (L2/L3), field service, or R&D role
  • Ideally focused on EV charging, automotive, or renewable energy industry
  • Solid technical knowledge of EV charging technology, standards and communication protocols such as OCPP.
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing log files and diagnosing complex issues such as vehicle-charger interoperability.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a high degree of ownership.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with international technical teams.
  • Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python) for data analysis.
  • Fluent in English is mandatory. Working proficiency in French is a strong plus.
  • Valid EU Driving License.
