Main responsabilities:

As part of CHC France's strategy, the Trade Marketing and Category Management Lead is responsible for supporting the development of the sales and brands strategy, particularly with regards to the categorical vision and the plan to transform the sell-in model into a sell-out model through the 3 pillars of merchandising, assortment and perfect store strategy. You work on brands like Doliprane, Phytoxil, Lysopaine, Novanuit...

He / She  is the Head of Brands & Innovations' relay for the transformation of brand strategy into execution and defines the business stakes for our brands and our innovations in pharmacy.  He manages and develops a team of 4 shopper excellence managers and a perfect store manager.

  • Strong ability to explore and integrate facts and insights (shopper, Consumer, Customer, environment and Network),
  • Identify growth opportunities in priority categories, select key growth levers and define the vision to be implemented internally and externally.
  • Strong ability to develop a 3-year Category / Shopper Action Plan (assortment, merchandising, pricing and promo), defining the key levers to be activated for the development of the brands in the categories
  • Recommend and deliver an integrated consumer experience in stores, leveraging brands visibility and appeal.
  • Define the priorities per lever, the objectives and resources required, and the stages of implementation.
  • Works hand in hand with sales, marketing, supply chain, sciences and finance teams to guarantee excellence of execution, respect of the deadlines and ROI.
  • Ability to transform growth plans for priority customers in line with sales policy
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects (Masterplan, category review…)
  • Upskill shopper competencies by developing team in "Sell out" business skills, particularly in "Shopper Excellence" and category/cross category management.
  • Manage and improve the efficiency of actions in terms of ROI.
  • Act as a global and European ambassador for French trade and sell-out best practices
  • Draw inspiration from best practices observed on the market
  • Develop the shopper culture within the organization with the support of the CMI team
  • Manage and respect annual budget envelope.

About you

  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Category management with proven track record
    • Successful experience in team management
    • Current or previous experience in FMCG or Consumer Healthcare companies
    • Solid experience in both Shopper and trade/commercial teams in French markets.
  • Human & relationnal skills:
    • Strong leadership & vision in driving priorities, capacity to step back
    • Tactical thinking with high capabilities to accompany perfect execution
    • Strong team player in a positive mindset, highly collaborative
    • Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on functional teamwork
    • Ability to federate your team and cross-functional stakeholders, to influence transversally
    • Rigorous, organized
    • Strong drive in order to manage expectations and constraints from both sides : marketing and sales
  • Functional skills:
    • Strong analytical and synthesis skills
    • Ability to design categorical strategies
    • Creativity, capability to think different.
    • Consumer oriented
    • Strong knowledge of customer environment to infuse more customer centricity
  • Education:
    • Business/category management background
    • Master degree
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Languages: fluent French & English.
