MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

In March 2020, Sanofi announced the carve-out of its business of Sales of Active Ingredients to 3rd Party (including 6 European Plants and associated development centers) with the objective of an IPO in 2022, if market condition were to be met. The position of Senior Consolidation Analyst is created as part of this project.

The Senior Consolidation Analyst will be part of the consolidation team responsible for monthly group consolidation reporting and establishment of the half-year and year-end consolidated financial statements under IFRS.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Consolidation

• Validation of the consolidation scope for the assigned countries
• Validation of reporting packages and analyses (balance sheet, P&L, Cash flow statement, Consolidated statement of net equity, …)
• Foreign exchange reserves & restatements check for the assigned countries
• Preparation and posting of consolidation restatements
• Ensure the primary controls over the consolidation process and bookings. Responsible for the consolidated accounts analyses & justifications for the assigned scope
• Validation of the tax proof and deferred taxes
• Validation of intragroup balances reconciliations and ensure correct elimination in the consolidated accounts

Assist the BPO Finance team (A2R) in the preparation of the reporting packages

• Validate the monthly group consolidation reporting (SAP FC) of all the companies within the scope of consolidation
• Ensure a monthly analytical control on SAP FC consolidation reporting, make sure of the reliability of the accounting data included in the reporting
• Participate in missions of accounting controls
• Participate in the implementation of accounting and consolidation projects

Participate to ad hoc finance-based project work or requests coming from the CFO or Executive Board

• In contact with the tax, legal and finance departments
• During particular transactions or operations
• Or within the framework of the tax planning schedules

Standards, procedures, and preparation of tools

• Ensure compliance with group accounting methods and the latest developments in IFRS
• Maintain a focus on strong internal controls for the countries in scope
• Contribute to the training of key users

Consolidation Reporting and statutory accounts

• Contribute to the preparation of monthly Consolidated Financial Reporting
• Prepare and review the notes to half-year and year-end consolidated financial statements
• Contribute to the issuance of Universal Registration Document

Carve-out project period:

• During the Carve-out, participate to the design and the implementation of the new SAP FC for EUROAPI, including data migration from Sanofi SAP FC
• Build consolidation detailed procedures and controls to put in place
• Contribute to the training of local key users

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• 6+ experience in Consolidation
• Strong knowledge of IT consolidation tools and accounting software packages, i.e. SAP/FC
• Knowledge and understanding of financial reporting requirements under IFRS
• Knowledge of consolidation techniques and principles
• Knowledge of local taxation rules and consolidation principles in tax matters (deferred tax)
• Able to work within strict deadlines environment
• Team player
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent in French and English both oral and written
