JOB PURPOSE 

Sanofi’s Immuno-Oncology Therapeutic Area based in Vitry-sur-Seine, France, is seeking a highly motivated and qualified scientist with experience in Immunology and in particular on Natural Killer (NK) cell biology and cancer immunotherapy.

The candidate will be responsible for applying scientific expertise to initiate, design, optimize and execute in vitro studies to evaluate and advance new drug candidates in the Immuno-Oncology portfolio, with high scientific rigor and excellence in execution. The candidate will have a great opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary research environment with different scientists in Immuno-Oncology and in other departments.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Contribute actively in the laboratory to develop and implement new in vitro immune cell assays for target validation, drug activity evaluation and deep mechanistic understanding of new therapeutic approaches
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current experimental techniques and literature (mainly in the field of NK cell biology)
  • Work independently and pro-actively for the rigorous execution of experiments in alignment with laboratory processes
  • Analyze, interpret, and present experimental results at lab and project team meetings
  • Communicate with managers and other collaborators in an open and effective manner
  • Assist in the preparation of publications, patents and relevant documentation to support projects in clinical development
  • Provide and promote support for operational procedures according to Sanofi values, ethics and security

PROFILE

  • Master`s degree (M2) in Biology, Immunology or Immuno-Oncology
  • Expertise in NK cell biology is highly appreciated
  • Experience in NK cell purification from whole blood and NK cell culture
  • Experience in tumor cell culture, multicolor flow cytometry, immunological assays, cell-based assays
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
  • Curiosity and willingness to work in collaboration with internal and external partners
  • Proactive and independent in the daily laboratory research activity
  • Excellent teamwork skills and flexibility
  • English speaking, reading and writing skills
  • Basic French speaking skills are welcome but not mandatory
