Summary of Job Purpose:
The Contract Administrator will support contract lifecycle activities including reviewing, preparing, tracking, and maintaining commercial and government contracts in support of aerospace programs. This role is key in ensuring compliance with Safran's policies and customer requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation, review, and processing of customer contracts, purchase orders, and modifications.
• Maintain contract files, records, and databases to ensure documentation accuracy and accessibility
• Track contract deliverables, deadlines, and obligations to ensure compliance with terms and timelines
• Communicate with internal teams (e.g., Sales, Legal, Programs) to resolve contract-related issues
• Support contract closeout activities, audits, and compliance checks
• Support the Sales team by calculating and validating annual escalation price increases in accordance with contract terms and indices
• Assist in identifying contract discrepancies or risks and escalating them as needed
• Prepare and conduct contract review meetings with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on contractual obligations and risks
• Review contract changes, amendments, and revisions, and assist the Sales and Program teams in understanding impacts and required actions
• Assist Sales, Program Management, and Legal teams in reviewing and analyzing customer terms and conditions during proposal and negotiation phases
• Coordinate communication with Legal teams to ensure timely review, input, and resolution of contract-related matters
• Other tasks may be assigned as needed to support departmental or business objectives
Education / Experience:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in contract administration, preferably in aerospace, defense, or a regulated industry
Skills and Abilities:
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good understanding of contract terms and legal principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with contract management systems is a plus
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Additional Considerations
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS or aerospace industry standards
• Experience with government contracts or international agreements
• Contract certification (e.g., NCMA, CFCM, CCCM, IACCM) is a plus
