Job description

THE ROLE 

As an intern at our office in Germany, you will be expected to help the team deliver high-quality, metrics-based consulting services to our clients across the country. 

 
Your main responsibilities will be to: 

  • Assist in technical projects and support our consultants to deliver error-free analyses 
  • Work alongside our team on various projects, employing our standard offerings to deliver impactful solutions. 

 

You will be successful in your role if you take ownership of self-development, including knowledge and skill improvement. We value students and young professionals who take initiative in their personal development.

ARE YOU READY TO TAKE YOUR FIRST STEP INTO SUSTAINABILITY?

  • You’re motivated to put your academic knowledge to work towards our mission of aligning businesses with Planetary Boundaries. 
  • You have a science-based orientation, and a deep intellectual and business curiosity, combined with strong interpersonal skills. 
  • You have a strong interest for sustainability, particularly in technical analysis, data management, or Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). 
  • You can collect, process, manage and interpret data, and present it in a form understandable to audiences with various levels of knowledge on sustainability. 
  • You are eager to learn and motivated for teamwork and supporting a team.  
  • You are finishing/have recently finished your Master’s studies with a focus on sustainability (e.g. environmental engineering, chemistry, agricultural studies or any other related field) 
  • You have a very good knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. 
  • You’re fluent in English and German. 

 

AS AN INTERN, HERE’S A PREVIEW OF WHAT TYPE OF WORK YOUR DAYS WILL INCLUDE: 

  • Supporting a variety of quantitative and qualitative analyses, such as life cycle assessment (LCA); corporate and/or product footprinting (carbon, water, other); climate impact reduction scenario modelling; and others 
  • Collaborating with the project team to help them develop customized solutions to address clients’ sustainability-related challenges and to develop client recommendations Contributing to the development of databases 
  • Preparing clear and compelling reports and presentations of analyses, results, insights, and recommendations, to support the project team’s communication to clients.

  • Location: Berlin with some flexibility for home office 
  • Contract type: 6 months full-time internship
