SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...

Are you passionate about the intersection of finance and data analytics? Join Pure Storage’s Finance team as an intern and gain hands-on experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) that directly supports strategic decision-making across the company.

This internship is an excellent opportunity for students eager to explore how finance and analytics drive operational excellence and business performance. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to meaningful projects that span R&D, Sales & Marketing, and G&A functions.

As part of our Finance Intern Program, you’ll collaborate with teams including Accounting, Procurement, Corporate Finance, and Business Unit Finance—gaining a well-rounded understanding of how each function drives Pure’s success. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals to shape strategic solutions and contribute to high-impact initiatives across the organization.

What You Will Be Doing

As an FP&A Intern, you’ll be immersed in the real-world applications of corporate finance and gain broad exposure through structured rotations across key functions. Your experience will include:

  • Structured Rotations: Build foundational knowledge by rotating through core areas of FP&A, developing practical skills in forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting and analysis—while gaining visibility into how Finance drives decision-making across the business.

  • Project Ownership: Take ownership of a high-impact project within Finance, collaborating with teams across R&D, Sales & Marketing, and G&A. Your work will deliver insights or drive scalable improvements to enhance Finance operations, culminating in a presentation to senior Finance leaders.

  • Real-World Experience: Throughout your internship, you'll engage in processes that support evolving business needs and foundational team priorities. You’ll maintain routine reporting, build and enhance dashboards, and contribute to automation efforts that drive efficiency and scalability. You’ll also handle ad-hoc requests, collaborate with the Finance team to understand reporting needs, and ensure data accuracy and consistency across deliverables. Along the way, you’ll gain hands-on experience with financial systems, accounting processes, and data tools—learning to transform complex data into timely and actionable business insights.

What You Bring To The Team

  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and Slides; familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus

  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail, with the ability to synthesize large data sets into clear insights
